8 Reasons Why You Should Not Hire Us

We have come up with the best 8 reasons that we could think of as to why you should not hire us for your next project…

  1. You think that the internet is overrated. You think that a website from DigitalRealm Media would be a waste of time and money and you certainly are not getting caught up in the “internet hype”.
  2. You do not want your company to succeed. You are secretly trying to run your business into the ground, and having a great website from DigitalRealm would only make it that much harder for you to carry out your evil plot. Besides, you are really starting to like this sabotage thing.
  3. You do not want to make more money. You already have so much money that you cannot possibly handle making more, which a site from DigitalRealm would clearly do for you. You are already fresh out of ways to spend all the money you have now because business is so good that you have just added 10 new employees and profits are through the roof.
  4. You found a good deal somewhere else. Some other “awesome design studio” offered you “the works” for $300. What a deal! You think that we are way overpriced and you can basically get the same thing for $300 at the other place right?
  5. You know that your cousin knows this guy that has a friend whose next door neighbor builds websites. You don’t need professionals when this guy will build “pretty much the same thing” for way less.
  6. You are so sure that your entire customer base falls into that “20% or so” of people that do not use the internet that there is no way that a new website could bring in new customers for you. Your customers are more traditional and would never try to look you up online at their favorite search engine.
  7. You like the “big image” look and feel. You know that huge design firm with the big office, and the high overhead, and the bloated design team right? I mean hey, bigger has to be better right?
  8. You bought one of those really cool “website design” packages didn’t you? “No coding required“, “up and running in minutes!“, “Be your own Webmaster!“. I bet you were thinking, “How hard can this whole internet thing be, huh?” Good luck with that one…

So, as you can see, unless you fall into one of the above situations, we really need to talk. Give us a yell and we would be more than happy to talk about your ideas.

What still holds in 2026

Read it as a list of objections a small studio heard every week and it is still accurate, only the details have moved. The $300 deal is now a monthly subscription. The cousin's neighbor is now an app. The big firm with the bloated design team is still there, and still bigger than most small businesses need.

The joke works because each reason is really a question: is the site supposed to bring in work? If yes, someone has to think about who it is for and what they should do next. That is true whether a studio builds it or the owner does it on a Sunday afternoon.
