Two people small
DigitalRealm Media was a web and print design studio in Greenville, South Carolina. It opened in the spring of 2006, built standards-based sites for small local businesses, and kept a notebook about it.
What the studio did
Two people ran it. One was the creative director, who did the design and “all of the nerd stuff,” in the site's words. The other was the business manager, who came to the work from restaurant management and looked after clients and sales. Between them they built websites, designed logos, business cards and print ads, and set up hosting and email for clients who had nobody else to do it.
The clients were mostly local and mostly small: a mechanical contractor, a church, a speedway, a community beautification group, bands and record labels. The studio's pitch, repeated across its pages, was that a small business deserved the same standards-based work as a large one, and should get it without paying for an agency's overhead.

What happened next
The Notebook goes quiet after February 2007. By August that year the domain was forwarding visitors elsewhere, and in later years the name was used by unrelated owners for pages that had nothing to do with the studio. None of that later material is reproduced here.
This edition keeps what the studio published in 2006 and 2007, quoted in full where it survives, with notes on what held up. Start with the manifesto, the design process or the Notebook.
